The terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 is not an isolated incident. How do you explain the increased occurrences of the following within the last century: wars, the Holocaust, abortions, euthanasia, killing rampages in public schools, restoration of Israel, escalated violence between Israel and Palestine, cults, volcanoes, earthquakes, fires, floods, famines, tornadoes, hurricanes, shark attacks? Now is not a time to mince words. Life and death hang in the balance.

From a human standpoint, the following is impossible to accomplish within one month: (1) Decided to independently publish my book using the services of Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing. (2) Redesigned the book’s cover and pages. (3) Celebrated the third edition paperback of “A Heavenly Conversation One Night Before Christmas” becoming available for sale on January 1 AND first eBook on January 12. (4) Created a video announcing my new book. Please join me in thanking Lord God for doing all these amazing things!

As long as I could remember, I longed to feel free from my body with cerebral palsy—if only for a moment. The opportunity started unfolding in May 1993, when several of my friends from the Friday Night Singles’ Bible Study went skydiving. I knew I could never do that by myself. However, when I found out that I could be attached to an experienced skydiver, I could hardly control my excitement. I decided to go for it!

Jesus Christ warned, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete” (Luke 6:46-49).

In one way or another, all people around the world are experiencing the impact of spreading uncertainty, unrest and anxiety. The human race is in desperate need of healing, unity, truth, love, peace, hope and encouragement. That’s why I decided now is the time for me to share this blog and gift with you. Although the Bible is indeed God’s love letter to humanity, something very special happens when you see your individual name woven into God’s message for you.

Although I haven’t had the privilege of being a mother, Lord God has graciously enabled me to give birth to spiritual creations and launch them into the world for his kingdom purposes. In response, I echo Hannah’s love-filled offering: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord” (1 Samuel 1:27-28, NIV).
